سُورَةُ الفَاتِحَةِ

The Opening

1:1

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ١

In the name of Allāh,¹the Most-Gracious, the Most-Merciful.²

1:2

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ٢

All praise be to Allāh, The Lord¹-of-the-Worlds,

1:3

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ٣

The Most-Gracious, the Most-Merciful,

1:4

مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ ٤

The Master-of-the-Day-of-Judgement.

1:5

إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ ٥

You alone do we worship, and Your help alone do we seek.

1:6

ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ ٦

Lead us to the straight path,

1:7

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ٧

the path of those on whom You have bestowed Your Favour, those whose [portion] was not wrath, nor those who went astray.
