سُورَةُ المَاعُونِ
The Articles of Need
107:1
أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ ١
See you one who disbelieves the [Day of] Judgement [to come]?1
107:2
فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِي يَدُعُّ ٱلۡيَتِيمَ ٢
That is the one who repulses the orphan,
107:3
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِ ٣
and [the one] who encourages not [others] to feed the indigent.
107:4
فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلۡمُصَلِّينَ ٤
So woe to the worshippers
107:5
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَن صَلَاتِهِمۡ سَاهُونَ ٥
who are forgetful of their Prayers,
107:6
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ يُرَآءُونَ ٦
those who make a show [of their deeds],1
107:7
وَيَمۡنَعُونَ ٱلۡمَاعُونَ ٧
and refuse [to share even small] articles of need1[with their neighbours].
